Grundy County Historical Society was founded in February 1988 in Tracy City, Tennessee.
The Grundy County Heritage Center and Research Library is located at 465 Railroad Avenue (and is also accessible from Depot Street) in Tracy City, TN.
Hours: weekdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Saturdays by appointment.
Membership: The Grundy County Historical Society is chartered as a volunteer, nonprofit organization (501c3 status). Membership is open to anyone upon payment of dues, which along with proceeds from publication sales, special projects, memorial gifts and donations, provide the funds with which we operate. Memberships are available in the following categories:

Public meetings are held in March, June, September, and December. Check this site often to find the most current event. The June 2010 meeting will be June 12 at the Heritage Center from 2-4 p.m. Charles Sherrill, Tennessee State Archivist will be speaking about family research.
